This website introduces a new research initiative that brings together the healthcare expertises of the Princess Máxima Centre for Paediatric Oncology and Delft University of Technology’s innovation expertise. Our aim is to advance the quality of patient care by creating healthcare innovations and developing scientific knowledge in which design and technology play a central role. Topics will include intelligent environments that adapt to the changing needs of children with cancer and their families, as well as new products and services that advance the excellence of the Princess Máxima Centre for Paediatric Oncology staff. On this website, you can find information on the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, the Princess Máxima Centre for Paediatric Oncology, the collaboration, vision and approach and the five multidisciplinary research themes and their related projects.
